Julie & Maxime
Who are we ?
Together and in love since 2008, we have filled our lives with discoveries, travel, love, moments of life and 3 children...
Julie has been passionate about photography for a long time, but has never done anything with them other than leaving them on her hard drives, which are her most precious equipment.
Maxime, what he wants is sun and a heavenly escape... hiking in the mountains, that's Julie, but everyone else is following!
This passion for photography and discovering the world through travel has generated a desire to share it with you.
And it was after a little road trip to Portugal with the children in summer 2023 that the idea of creating this site began to take shape, that finally all the photos would come out of its hard drives and be able to tell you about our travels, establish complete guides and itineraries for you.
To understand and plan your family trips, we do not forget our children who are practically always with us and who can reassure you on for example "how to take the plane with a baby?"
La Valise de mae has been on Instagram for a few years now, and this site is a continuation of our ability to exchange and share, so that the trips and experiences you will be able to experience will be nothing but joy for us!

Why Mae's Suitcase?
Indeed, why Mae's Suitcase?
When this idea for a place, a page, a site came up, we had to find a name that would represent us, our family, but also our travels, our adventures, our passions, so that we could quickly know what we were talking about...
So it took us almost a year to find the ideal name that spoke to us,
The Suitcase represents the journey, our suitcase that we take everywhere, the one that you take everywhere and that you love to prepare because it is the sign of a new adventure that is about to begin!
Mae is simply the initials of our 3 children
Let's not kid ourselves, they are my main passion.
✨ And what about Disneyland Paris?✨
Ah! Disneyland Paris and I have quite a history...
I discovered the park when I was only 30 years old for my eldest daughter's 10th birthday, we discovered the park at the same time, Mr already knew it 😜
Then I tried to go there once a year (except for covid which really made us...bleep...), to budget and organize down to the second in order to have as many emotions and experiences as possible at Disneyland Paris.
And then I turned 40...😂
And do you know the famous midlife crisis?
And there I put on my Mickey ears too often for Maxime, much too often!
He followed more, in fact he follows more...
But it is with my eldest, who is 20 years old, that I live these moments, a common passion was born, even if there are others all the same, this one is special.
So as fans of the parks, we bought annual passes, and we go there whenever we have the chance together.
How to describe what I feel when I'm there, it's difficult, but in any case it's my little bubble with her, our moments together and that, it's pure happiness.
So of course, we know Disneyland Paris inside and out, its tips and tricks, the best restaurants, where to eat cheaply and how to wait the shortest time in the queues....
